The ice picks shown in this section have wooden handles with metal caps or metal bands around the handle. The metal caps and bands were placed on the handle to minimize damage to the handle when using them to crack the larger broken chunks into small pieces. Some of the caps are form fitted or crimped on the handle while others were attached by screws or nails. |
